Portraits

Portraits are my favorite type of art to make. I paint in acrylic, pastels, oil and acrylic markers. I have made many over the years and will highlight some of them in my upcoming blogs. I also use pencil, graphite and charcoal in my renderings.

Acrylic Paintings

My latest acrylic paintings are on wood panel, generally in the 30″ x 40″ range. They are inspired by the kaleidoscopes my mother used to purchase for me when I was a child. The geometric patterns and the value changes witnessed through the scope made an impression on me that has stood the test of time! I also use acrylic and enamel paint on Strathmore Chromalux paper to make a variety of paintings using text from my journaling and an assortment of stenciled motifs I’ve designed. My blogs will illustrate some of these artworks.
